Prints and spaces have become quite important for me recently. I love the tangible, the physical presence a print has in a particular space. Be it your bedroom, kitchen, dining, lounge or office. A living or workspace, sometimes a merge of two.
Especially something you can identify with, that interests you. In this case, flight. I love flying, the exhilaration of take-off, -&+ G forces. Although I may never pilot an aircraft, I still have plenty of opportunity to fly in one as a passenger (I think I'll stick with photography).
A while back I ordered one of my film photos on stone. With a little bit of help from Photoshop, I created a panoramic image from 2 shots. Sent the print-ready file to OnStone in Melbourne and this is what received soon after in return.
Using recycled / reclaimed timber and styrene (backing) from a number of local sources in Melbourne, a smooth, matted finish.
